★ The diameter and height of the test piece should be the same as the diameter and height of the reshaped cylinder. The diameter of the reshaped cylinder is 40 mm and the height is 100 cm.
★ Use a caliper to measure the height of the cut test piece and the diameters of the upper, middle and lower parts, and calculate the average diameter DP by the following formula
DP = (D1 + 2D2 + D3) / 4
Where: DP ~ average diameter of test piece, cm. D1., D2, D3 ~ diameter, cm
★ Wipe a thin layer of vaseline on both sides of the test piece. If the water evaporates, apply a layer of vaseline on the side of the test piece.
★ The parts are placed on the pressure plate of the unconfined measuring instrument. Turn the hand wheel to make it just contact the upper pressure plate. The reading of the debugging force ring gauge is zero.
★ The strain should be 1-3%. Turn the handwheel (about 6-12 revolutions, minutes) to complete the test in 8-20 minutes.
★ Before, every 0.5% strain reading scale reads once, after the strain reaches 3% every 1% strain reading reads the scale.
★ When the reading of the scale reaches the peak value or the reading reaches stability, the test can be stopped when the 3 ~ 5% strain value is continuously continued.
★ After the test, quickly reverse the handwheel to remove the sample and describe the damage.

The pressure plate is advanced for 2-4mm in a minute until the soil sample is damaged. At this time, it is read on the dial indicator to calculate the axial stress.
★ If the test is carried out until the pointer of the dial indicator in the dynamometer ring does not stop, the soil is a plastic flow failure. The test should be carried out until the total strain of the sample reaches more than 20%, and the stress at the strain of 20% is no side Limit compressive strength.
★ After the test, turn the rocker clockwise to remove the sample, and then pull out the anti-rotation pin, and directly rotate the lower lifting plate to quickly descend to the position before the test.
Maintenance and precautions of lime soil unconfined pressure gauge:
1. After use, the instrument should be wiped clean and coated with a thin layer of grease to prevent rust.
2. The force-strain ring is attached with a stress-strain curve table when it leaves the factory. It should be checked regularly (one year) when used.
3. The dial indicator on the instrument is not attached by the factory and is configured by the user unit.
