Geotextile burst strength tester uses and applicable standards:
Applicable to all kinds of geotextiles, geomembrane and geocomposites, used to determine the bursting strength of geotextiles. In line with AB7742-87 << 《Determination of bursting strength and expansion expansion of textiles by elastic diaphragm method》; ASIMD3786-80 “Test method of hydraulic bursting strength”.
Technical parameters of geotextile burst strength tester:
★ Grip: a ring with an inner diameter of 30..5mm. The specimen in the clamp should not slip or be damaged during the clamp test.
★ Film: It is a highly elastic synthetic rubber film with a thickness of about 1.8mm.
★ The full scale of the pressure gauge should meet the large A value of the test. In the range of 25% -75% of the full scale of the pressure gauge, the hydraulic system should be able to gradually increase the hydraulic pressure under the film until the sample bursts. / min, the pressure should be stopped immediately when bursting, and the volume in the container remains unchanged under this pressure, in order to record the total pressure that causes the sample to burst and the pressure that causes the film to bulge when it bursts.
Preparation of geotextile burst strength tester samples:
★ Each test specimen shall be randomly cut from the length and width of the sample, the distance from the edge of the sample shall be equal to or greater than 100mm, and the submitted sample shall not be less than 1 extension meter or (2m2)
★ The sample should be free of dust, creases, holes, damaged parts and visible defects.
★ When cutting more than two samples for the same test, avoid them in the same vertical and horizontal position, that is, use trapezoidal sampling method. Situation
★ The accuracy requirements shall be met when cutting samples.
★ Before cutting the sample, there should be a cutting plan before cutting.
★ All samples used in each test shall be numbered.
The above provisions apply to all types of geotextiles, geomembrane and geocomposites, but do not include special purpose products such as geogrids.
Operation steps of geotextile burst strength tester:
★ Before the test, check whether the various parts of the instrument are normal. When necessary, use a standard elastic diaphragm to check the comprehensive performance of the bursting instrument. The elastic diaphragm must be replaced when it is significantly deformed.
★ Cover the sample with a flat, tension-free state, and clamp the sample with a ring clamp.
Set the liquid indentation rate to 170ml / min, start the machine to deform the diaphragm and the sample at the same time until the sample breaks and record the test time.
★ Read the large A pressure at the moment of sample rupture, which is the total pressure value required for sample rupture.
Remove the sample by loosening the jig, and measure the pressure required to expand the film to the same shape as when the sample ruptures with the same test time.This is the correction pressure.
★ Repeat the above steps to test the remaining test pieces.
