The single brick in-situ double shearing device is a small hydraulic device. Single brick in-situ double shear operation method
■ First, the other block at the adjacent end of the block is first removed, and the surrounding ash seam is removed to prepare a hole for the host. The section size must not be less than 115mmX65mm, then hollowed out and clear the vertical joint at the other end of the block.
■ The gray joints at both ends of the block should be cleaned. During the excavation and cleaning process, the block is rigorously disturbed; if the block is found to have obvious missing corners or the upper and lower ash joints are obviously loose, the block should be discarded. The pressure bearing surface of the pushed block should be flat, otherwise it will be smoothed by tools such as variable grinding wheels.
■ Put the double shearing instrument into the hole, so that the cover of the instrument coincides with the top surface of the block. The axis of the instrument is consistent with the axis of the block. If the hole is too long, a spacer should be added at the end of the instrument.
■The manual pump is pressed to make the double shearer evenly apply horizontal load to the block until the relative displacement between the block and the masonry, and the block reaches the broken state. The whole process of loading should be 1-3min.
■ Record the reading of the digital pressure gauge when the block is broken. Based on this reading, the shear strength of the grey seam surface can be calculated.
